Objectives:
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
Identify how color, shape, movement, imagery, and somatic awareness can provide additional avenues for clients to notice and communicate internal experiences that may be difficult to access verbally.
Describe the basic principles of SoulCollage® and art journaling and their application as creative and reflective practices within psychotherapy.
Explain foundational concepts of parts work and identify how creative and somatic practices can support clients in recognizing, externalizing, and developing curiosity toward different parts of themselves.
Apply at least two SoulCollage® or art-journaling practices to facilitate client exploration of parts, emotions, internal conflicts, resources, or personal meaning.
Demonstrate therapeutic inquiry that integrates visual imagery and somatic noticing while allowing clients to determine the meaning of their own creative work.
Identify appropriate clinical boundaries and scope-of-practice considerations when mental health therapists incorporate creative practices into psychotherapy.
Target Audience:
Classes are open to all licensed professional counselors, licensed social workers, psychologists, psychoanalysts, MFTs, Substance Abuse Counselors, and students who are curious and seek to expand their knowledge.

About Presenter: Jaclyn Tyson MSW, LCSW, is a licensed therapist, spiritual companion, and educator specializing in culturally responsive care, intergenerational trauma, and creative healing practices. She holds a Master of Social Work and integrates clinical training with intuitive and expressive approaches. Trained in Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, energy work, and ancestral healing, she brings a strong interest in exploring how ancient and ancestral wisdom—particularly from Indigenous and traditional lineages—intersects with clinical practice. Her work includes ongoing inquiry into how these practices can be acknowledged and integrated ethically, with respect for their cultural origins. She creates restorative spaces for highly sensitive and marginalized individuals to reconnect with their inner wisdom and spiritual path.
