What If We Got to Build the Fantasy World?

A collaborative D&D campaign created with BIPOC, queer, immigrant, diasporic, and other marginalized folks in mind.

The land is dying. Resources are disappearing. And the spirits that once helped sustain the world are disappearing too.

Something has gone wrong—and your party will have to figure out what.

Over the course of this campaign, you’ll explore new places, fight monsters, encounter spirits, navigate competing factions, uncover pieces of forgotten history, and make choices that shape what happens to the world around you.

Underneath the adventure are questions I’ve been interested in exploring through fantasy: culture, power, colonization, history, inheritance, and reclamation. There won’t be a “right” way to respond to those questions. They’ll show up through the world, its communities, and the choices your characters face. We’ll build some of the world together.

Jackie will come with the bones of the world, its central conflict, and an adventure ready to go. During Session 0, you’ll create your character and help add pieces of their world—their community, traditions, relationships, stories, and what they’ve inherited.

You never have to draw from your own identity or personal experiences. You get to decide how much of yourself, if any, you bring into your character.

And this is still D&D. There will be magic, monsters, combat, exploration, roleplay, weird situations, and opportunities to have fun.

New to D&D? You’re welcome here.

No D&D experience is required.

This pilot campaign will be facilitated by Jackie, who is currently learning to DM and completing training in therapeutic game mastering. She also brings a trauma-informed background to group facilitation, with an emphasis on choice, consent, boundaries, and creating space for different ways of participating.

That background informs how the space is facilitated—not an expectation that players process personal experiences through the game. Players are never required to disclose personal experiences or draw from their own identities when creating characters or participating in the story.

This is a recreational and community-based tabletop roleplaying experience. It is not a therapy group or psychotherapy service.
